Vein Viewer: State of the Art Imaging
In our practice, we use a revolutionary technology for vein imaging, in addition to diagnostic ultrasound. While ultrasound allows us to inject the most important deeper refluxing veins, the VeinViewer’s technology allows us to see veins that are too superficial and small to see with ultrasound. This cutting edge technology allows us to visualize these veins directly for accurate injection. It is being used in many hospitals, emergency departments, and IV Clinics. This is especially important for children and cancer patients to reduce vein misses, and to decrease discomfort associated with the procedures. The VeinViewer has been shown to improve the results of sclerotherapy in the treatment of veins and greatly facilitates the results in treating the smaller spider veins, reticular veins, and telangiectasias.
